02 - Electrician in South Yarra
What Changes When the Board Is Not Yours
Three things, and they all happen before a tool comes out.
The supply is shared and finite. Apartment sub-boards are sized for what the building allocated, which in a 1990s tower is a lot less than a household now runs. An induction cooktop plus a heat pump plus a car charger may simply not fit, and finding that out at rough-in is expensive. We check the sub-board and the allocation first.
Anything touching common property needs approval. A new circuit run through a riser, a car charger in the basement, a condenser on a balcony. The owners corporation decides, and it decides on its own schedule. We will tell you what needs approval and give you the technical description to put in the request.
Access is booked, not assumed. Loading dock, service lift, and a window that does not clash with another trade. In most South Yarra buildings that is a conversation with building management a week ahead.
Sub-board Checked First
What the unit is actually allocated, before you order the appliance that needs it.
We Write the OC Request
The technical description the owners corporation needs, so the application is not knocked back on detail.
Access Booked Ahead
Dock, lift and trade window sorted before the day, not on the morning.
Certificate to the Owner and the OC
A compliance certificate for you, and a copy for the building's records where the work touched common property.
